Prom Health Development is proud to announce its Scholarship Program 2025-26 for writing theses, created to support Cambodian Master’s students who are committed to advancing health, research, and development in Cambodia.
All scholarship recipients will participate in a 1-year internship, which is an essential component for developing their Master’s thesis. The internship combines:
- Field Experience
- Participant recruitment and informed consent procedures.
- Engagement in sentinel site surveillance at hospitals and health facilities.
- Laboratory Training
Hands-on research laboratory testing, including:
- Sequencing
- PCR
- Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cell (PBMC) processing
- Flow cytometry
- Antimicrobial resistance testing
- Research Skills Development
- Critical appraisal of scientific literature.
- Proposal development and thesis preparation.
- Data analysis using SPSS, R, and QGIS.
- Scientific writing and presentation skills.
- Supplementary Courses
- Training in research ethics (CITI training)
- Biosafety and laboratory safety procedures
- Data management and reference organization (e.g., Zotero)

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Be a Cambodian citizen.
- Be enrolled or accepted into a Master’s program in health, medicine, biology, or public health.
- Hold an English certificate (IELTS 5.5 or equivalent).
- Possess basic computer knowledge (Microsoft Office, email, internet use; familiarity with statistical or research software is an advantage).
- Have a minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0 or equivalent (optional).
