PHD has more than 15 years of experience supporting the US agencies to conduct malaria and other infectious disease research in Cambodia. Over the past 5 years PHD has supported field and laboratory research in Cambodia for the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. Research has yielded nearly 100 peer-reviewed publications to date. All clinical trials were registered on clinicaltrials.gov prior to study commencement. PHD has developed a network spanning numerous disease ‘hotspots’ connecting those in need at the local level with national and international expertise. Partners include local NGOs, US international agencies, and US academic centers including the University of North Carolina, and the University of Maryland.
